Teach this triple truth to all:
”A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion
are the things which renew humanity. “
~Guatama Buddha

The fig tree known as Sri Maha Bodhi is located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.

Planted c. 288 B.C., it is 2,295 years, the oldest living verified human-planted tree in the world.
This sacred tree, brought to Sri Lanka by the daughter of the Emperor Asoka, grew from a cutting from the Bodhi tree under which the Buddha achieved enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, India, in 588 B.C.
